Read a streetscape
A street’s history can appear in its materials, signs and changing building heights. Look for differences between upper floors and modern storefronts. Compare similar buildings rather than assuming a single detail proves a date.
Use public plaques, local libraries or municipal archives to check an observation afterward. Keep a clear distinction between what you saw and what you inferred. Respect private property and avoid photographing people in ways that intrude on their privacy.
